Two men arrested in connection with Kitchener bank robbery

Two Kitchener men have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in the city last week.

The arrests were made on Friday, after police executed a warrant at a motel in Kitchener. 

The accused, who are 27 and 35, have both been charged with robbery with a firearm.

Both are being held for a bail hearing and no names have been released.

The CIBC branch at King Street East and Queen Street South was held up the afternoon of April 10.

Police said a man, armed with a handgun, entered the bank.

He later fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
