Thousands to graduate from Conestoga College Thursday

More than 2,000 students will be graduating from Conestoga College on Thursday.

The 2018 Fall Convocation Ceremony will take place at the Bingeman's Conference Centre in Kitchener.

A number of college-wide awards and two major awards will be presented during the afternoon and evening ceremonies.

Olivia Curtis from Kitchener will receive the 2018 Governor General's Academic Media for achieving the highest overall academic average from a diploma program.

She graduated from the Recreation and Leisure Services program with an overall average of 96.9 per cent.

This is the 50th Fall Convocation ceremony being celebrated by Conestoga College.

Students will be taking part in three ceremonies at 10 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
