Salmon strips recalled due to possible listeria contamination

A food recall warning, originally issued on May 5 has been expanded.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says DOM International Limited has recalled Dom Reserve brand Atlantic Salmon Strips (Hot Smoked) Cracked Black Pepper from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. 

Consumers should not consume the product described here:

Atlantic Salmon Strips (Hot Smoked) Cracked Black Pepper 150 g - code # 001851 (All Best Before dates) - UPC code 7 72945 11150 8.

The products were sold in both Ontario and Quebec.

CFIA says the recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

So far, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the recalled fish.
