Waterloo Regional Police will be taking over Huron Heights Secondary School in Kitchener on Wednesday.

Officers will be participating in a training session.

It means staff and students will not be allowed in the school.

The school board says police employ a wide variety of training techniques and require a facility free of civilians in order to ensure safety.
