Waterloo Regional Police have released a description of a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in Cambridge.
Investigators say a man was seen in the area just before the shooting Wednesday around 5:30 p.m., in the area of King Street, near Church Street and Westminster Drive.
When police arrived, they found 58-year-old Helen Schaller with gunshot wounds. Schaller was taken to the hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The man police are looking for is described as white, between 20 and 40 years-old with a shaved or bald head, and a slim build.
Police say he was seen leaving the area in a red Honda.
Members of the Major Crime Unit say they continue to follow up on leads.
Police are reminding residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals.
