A disturbing alert from Waterloo Regional Police.
In a post on social media, the service said officers responded to six suspected overdoses on Sunday.
They are warning users to take precautions as street drugs are often unpredictable.
That includes never using illicit substances alone, carrying Naloxone, and visiting a supervised consumption site.
The latest data for Waterloo Region shows there were 380 overdose-related emergency calls in the first three months of 2021.
As of April 7, there have been 26 suspected overdose related deaths so far this year.
