If you don't have to take a bus or the ION - stay home.
That's the word from Grand River Transit on Thursday.
The service is urging the public to only use GRT for essential trips - like going to work, medical appointments, or grocery shopping.
It's also reminding passengers to board and exit buses through the rear doors, with the exception of those with mobility devices.
When riders are on the bus, they're directed to stay behind the yellow line on the floor. These measures will be in effect until at least April 5.

We’re asking that you ride them for essential trips only. Help protect the people who keep us fed, safe, healthy and mobile. #FlattenTheCurve pic.twitter.com/Rq9TRQiwt5
