The City of Cambridge is certainly on the map of hot spots when it comes to filming.
A Netflix crew is going to be set up in Galt for the next three days as part of a project.
Devon Hogue is the City's Business Information Officer, and says the shoot is operating under the name "Sunny Jim".
"They'll be filming at City Hall, out on Cambridge Street, and they will be closing the Main Street Bridge on Friday."
If you're feeling curious, Hogue says you are welcome to come out and take a look.
"It's fine to come down and to kind of hang out and watch. Realistically though, filming is really boring. I know everybody get's all excited about it .. but they do the same thing about 80 times."
Hogue adds Cambridge continues to be popular with movie crews because the city has something that is so difficult to find here in Ontario.
"We have this beautiful riverscape, and we have three bridges that cross it. So we actually have the ability on occasion to close a bridge - and that is huge for filming companies. The film industry had an economic impact of about $3.5 million between 2015 and 2017."
The shoot is not exactly for the faint of heart, as there will be a variety of special effects and situations that may be disturbing to some.
Some stars will be in town, but Hogue won't name names. However, she does say the show focuses on a researcher named "Dr. Luther Swann".
A character by that name is linked to actor Ian Somerholder and 'V-Wars', which is a spin-off of the popular teen show The Vampire Diaries.
