"So we'll be a little behind our regular season schedule this year, but not by much," said Rolland Cyr, General Manager, Kitchener Minor Hockey Association. "And that's predominantly to accommodate the move from [...] Spring try-outs to now occurring in the Fall."
"That seems to be still a go and everything is scheduled for a 'regular season'," he said.
The league says it still plans on having the 2021/2022 regular season start sometime in late September or early October.
"We'll move forward as with everybody else and deal or pivot with anything that the pandemic may throw at us but we're hoping that we're seeing the light and we're moving forward with some fun for the kids," said Cyr.
Registration for girls hockey in Kitchener is already open.
Registration for minor hockey in Waterloo opens Saturday, July 17. In Cambrige it opens July 15.
