One person is in the hospital with serious burns after a garage fire in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Fire Department responded to the home on Selkirk Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening to a detached garage.

Three vehicles sustained significant damage, and a 47-year-old man was taken to a Hamilton hospital with severe burn injuries.

Officials say the cause of the fire is not considered suspicious, and damage is estimated around $150,000.

Fire crews say the investigation is ongoing, and the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in.
