Weather and road conditions are certainly frightful but there is some good news this morning, as a winter weather travel advisory has been lifted.

You still need to give yourself plenty of time to clear off your car, shovel the driveway, and watch where you park!

A snow event remains in effect for Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge until midnight - which means you cannot park on city streets.

If you do, you could be ticketed or towed.

Regional Police had their hands full Thursday, with dozens of crashes reported throughout the afternoon and evening.

OPP were also busy responding to over 40 crashes through the GTA last night.

Sgt. Kerry Schmidt is out again this morning, and says officers are still dealing with some single-vehicle collisions.

"Looks like the driver of this car went for a bit of a ride last night - you can see exactly where he came off the highway. Roads are looking a lot better right now, plows have been through and they're mostly just wet .. but still be careful on those on-ramps and off-ramps."

The weather wasn't the only issue either, as Schmidt says two drivers were arrested for impaired driving.

Plows are out this morning through Waterloo Region and our surrounding areas - but you need to take things slow, and drive according to the weather and road conditions.
