Hilary Gauld-Camilleri is a local photographer. She has been providing her services for Waterloo Region since 2008.
Her business, much like so many others during this pandemic, has been put on hold. As she self-isolates she decided to create My Four Walls.
It's a global diary where anyone worldwide can share their thoughts and space during self-isolation.
The diary is through Facebook and Instagram, and those platforms have already seen numerous responses.
"We have had submissions from all over the world ... Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Australia, all across the US and Canada," said Camilleri.
The post should have a photo of the space or something that resonates during this time of isolation.
"It could be their bedroom, living room, a view of their children during this time, a pet, or flowers." said Camilleri.
Camilleri said daily routines have changed during this pandemic, and everyone is thinking of the future.
"(It) has forced them to stop and think about what they have had in their life ... so I think that it's really given people time to take pause, and simply think during this time."
She added she is hoping it will stay online for a long time as it is something to look back on. "We can revisit those thoughts and feelings and kind of touch that place we were in during (this pandemic)."
