***The travel advisory was lifted on Friday morning***

Expect a snowy, slick drive on roadways the next few days.

Environment Canada has once again issued a winter weather travel advisory for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.

Snow is expected to begin Thursday afternoon, and some areas could see 5 to 10 cm by Friday morning.

Motorists should expect a slower than usual drive and prepare for the conditions.

The national weather agency says the snow will taper off sometime Friday, but say this is expected to be the largest snowfall event of the season - so far.
