It's still technically summer, though it certainly doesn't feel that way.

Kitchener-Waterloo recorded a new record low minimum temperature Saturday morning of -2.6 Celcius.

The previous record was -1.1 Celcius set in 1929, almost a century ago.

Environment Canada issued a frost advisory for Friday night, and they expect the advisory to go up again Saturday night for Waterloo Region, Guelph and surrounding areas.

They're advising you to cover up plants and trees that are frost sensitive, and some crops may be damaged as well.
