KW Counselling Services is launching a virtual fundraising initiative next week, which kicks off on Blue Monday.
January 18 is considered to be the most 'depressing day of the year' - making it the perfect starting point for the new challenge.
It's called the 'Couch to 5K' and it's a sponsored running plan that will last until March 27.
The premise is for runners of all experience levels, including absolute beginners, to get involved and boost both their physical and mental health in the process.
They can do it alone, or with virtual teams, and the plan will include different schedules. Participants also do not have to run, they can do whatever suits them best.
You won't have to do it every day either, as some days of rest will be worked in.
KW Counselling Services is hoping to raise $30,000 through the event.
