Regional police have arrested five people, including one woman from Kitchener, in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The investigation started in the Spring of 2019 in partnership with Guelph Police and Peel Regional Police.
Six warrants were issued for residences and vehicles across Kitchener, Cambridge, Brampton and Guelph.
A 35-year-old Kitchener woman was arrested along with a man and woman from Guelph, and two men from Brampton.
Police say they seized 53 grams of suspected crystal meth and four grams of suspect fentanyl along with ammunition, two vehicles, a loaded flare gun, an electric cattle rod and around $10,000 in cash.
All five people have been charged with multiple drug and ammunition offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, driving offences and breach of court order.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and anticipate further arrests.
