Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge declare snow events

The cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge are asking that you not park on the street on Friday.

All three have declared snow events.

In Kitchener, motorists who park on the road run the risk of getting an $80 ticket and being towed at the owner's expense.

The ban starts at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday and is expected to remain in place until 11:59 p.m. on Friday.

In Waterloo, the ban is also expected to be in place until 11:59 p.m. on Friday.

The snow event in Cambridge starts at 11 p.m. Thursday and will end at 11 p.m. on Friday.

Waterloo Region may receive eight to 12 cm of snow.
