Music fans all around the region are tingling with excitement, now that the official lineup for the Kitchener BluesFest has been released.
President of Kitchener Blues Festival, Rob Barkshire, says there's a lot of exciting things to look forward to.
"It's going to be pretty much the three big stages, the children's stage and then of course, 12-bar blues, where we'll have some more inimate acts going on and some workshops. It's kind of the same formula as last year in that regard. We find it works really well for us and there's no reason to really change it at this point."
He says the Kitchener Bluesfest is expected to have a great impact on its host city.
"Each year we engage a company from Toronto that does market research for us and does on-site surveys and collects data. Our expectation is to have an economic impact near $4-million dollars for the weekend."
He says about 150,000 people are expected to attend.
There will be 43 bands playing from August 8 to 11 on three stages, all located in downtown Kitchener.
