Wilfrid Laurier University business student Chuck Ozulumba will be laid to rest on Saturday.

The service will take place at 11 a.m. at St. Philips on-the-hill, 9400 Kennedy Road in Unionville.

His visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue in Markham.

Ozulumba, 22, was on a weekend excursion with other students when he drowned.

OPP say Ozulumba went underwater Friday evening, while rafting out on the waters of the Ottawa River near Renfrew.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family. Over $21,000 has been raised.

The university says it's extending support and counselling services to all students as a result of Ozulumba's death.
