With a new Feed Ontario report indicating more people with full and part-time jobs accessing food bank supports, the need to support said food banks is going up.

And as we get into the thick of the holiday season, and holiday shopping, the Food Bank of Waterloo Region is marking "Giving Tuesday" with a social media campaign to help get all the necessities someone might need at this, or any time of year.

The goal is to raise 1,500 healthy hampers to benefit the over 34,000 people in Waterloo Region who require food assistance.

Videos are being posted to the local food bank's social media feeds once an hour for the whole day.

The videos are testimonials of volunteers and others who donate, telling stories of why they support the food bank.

You can follow the conversation, using the #24HoursofGiving, and you can donate to the cause by clicking HERE.
