Fight leads to stabbing in Cambridge

On January 17, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a physical altercation between two males that occurred on Elgin Street South in Cambridge. 

During the altercation, one male received a non-life-threatening stab wound. 

The victim was transported to hospital, received medical care, and was later released. 

The suspect was arrested by police without incident. 

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Cambridge male was charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule - Substance.
