Fatal crash at Alpine Plaza in Kitchener closes roads

Police say alcohol may have been a factor

Regional Police are on scene at the Alpine Plaza in Kitchener after a fatal crash and rollover. 

They tell 570 NEWS that the 40-year-old driver is dead, and that he was the only person in his car during the crash.

They say alcohol may have been a factor that led the the fatal collision.

Photos sent to 570 NEWS show a vehicle flipped on its side in front of the LCBO store. 

WRPS are calling it a "major traffic event", and say roads were closed in the area for the investigation. They have since re-opened.

The victim's name will not be released until his next-of-kin have been notified.
