Have you heard the buzz about Waterloo Region?

Council voted Wednesday night in favour of becoming the first 'Bee Region' in Canada.

It means Waterloo Region will take steps to help protect pollinators, through an ambassador program created by Bee City Canada.

It includes measures like creating bee habitats, as well as educating the public on things like pollinator gardens, beneficial insects, and climate change.
