Cement truck hits tree, ends up in creek in Wellesley

The driver was briefly trapped inside the vehicle's cab, which was under a tree and submerged in Nith Creek

A rescue mission was conducted in Wellesley on Thursday. 

In a Facebook post, the Township said a cement truck struck a tree on Moser Young Road and ended up in Nith Creek.

The driver was trapped inside the cab of the vehicle and firefighters quickly rescued them. 

The driver was treated by paramedics at the scene and there's no word on any injuries.

The Township says Moser Young will remain closed from Lobsinger to Boomer Line for several hours as the vehicle is removed from the creek.
