The Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival is fast approaching.
And volunteers are still needed for the 31st annual event, which opens on Thursday, August 22 and runs until Sunday, August 25.
"The openings are for people 16 and older. It's a great opportunity for a young person or adult of any age to get involved in the community, and it looks good on a resume." Executive Committee Chair, Randy Warren said in a release.

The volunteer positions are described below:
Carnival Ambassadors: Circulate through the crowd in pairs answering questions, distributing programs, and assisting the public to ensure safety; duties may include operating a radio, noting spills needing cleanup, and recognizing situations needing extra assistance such as a lost child
Carnival Set-Up/Tear-Down (Over 16): Helping to set up carnival, assisting with clean-up activities around the carnival and tear-down activities after the carnival; must be able to lift 50 pounds, and follow directions precisely
Information Tent Attendant (Over 16): Answer general questions and provide direction to different areas within the Carnival; duties include: selling freezies, running Lost & Found, managing volunteer supplies, keeping tent neat, and using radio to communicate with other volunteers
Roving Freezie Sellers: Selling freezies from a wagon or wheeled cooler; duties include managing a cash float, making change, replenishing supplies
(The minimum age for a volunteer is 16, or 14-15 if accompanied by an adult)
