One local business is trying to help support pets throughout the region with a new t-shirt fundraiser.
Astrodog Media has teamed up with Civilian Screen Printing to sell a 'Humane tee' shirt to raise money for The Humane Society of Kitchener, Waterloo & Stratford Perth during the pandemic.
The shirts are $25 each and feature Astrodog Media's logo, which was illustrated by Branko Vranic. According to the webpage, the Humane tee comes in three colours: grey, silver or cream.
Once an order is placed, the shirt is shipped to the person's door through contact-less delivery. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go towards providing food, bedding, litter and other supplies to the Pet Food Bank program.
According to an email from Matt Hortobagyi, executive producer and co-founder of Astrodog Media, funding for this project came from the KW Small Business Initiative, organized by Civilian Screen Printing.
Hortobagyi says while the initiative aims to provide additional revenue for local small businesses affected by COVID, the team at Astrodog Media decided they could use this platform to help raise money for pets and families in need.
Interested in buying a shirt? Residents have until the end of July to order the Humane tee from the KW Small Business Initiative online store, which can be accessed here.
