1)     TD Kitchener Blues Festival
August 8-11, 2019
Downtown Kitchener
Each year in August, Waterloo Region plays host to one of Canada’s largest blues festivals. Enjoy over 80 international and Canadian artists on 6 stages (including a children’s stage), with after shows happening in area clubs and restaurants. The best part? 2)     Cambridge Rotary Ribfest
August 9-11, 2019
Riverside Park, Cambridge
Cambridge Rotary Ribfest is organized by volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Cambridge Sunrise and Cambridge North. It begins by bringing together 6 Ribber Teams from across North America, hungry to compete for the Best Ribs Title! There are also great music artists performing, and activities and games for kids of all ages. The proceeds from this event go directly back into the community. 3)     2019 U19 Women’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship
August 13-18, 2019
Peter Hallman Ball Yard
Defending National Champions, the Waterloo Ghosts Gold Team, are excited to host the best teams from across the country at this tournament! Spectators will be able to purchase weekly or daily passes to the Round Robin and Championship games. Come out and cheer on our local teams, and take in this high caliber fast pitch action!
 
4)     5th annual Aviation Fun Day
August 17, 2019
Region of Waterloo International Airport
Grab your walking shoes and explore the airport on foot at this free family event. Learn how the aviation industry works, get up close to airport equipment, vintage aircraft and classic cars. Talk to the people behind the scenes and learn about career opportunities at your local airport. You can also check out unique and vintage aircraft up close on Apron IV, an area usually restricted to the public. For complete schedule and details, check out the website.
 
5)     Check out What’s Happening in Wilmot Township this August!
Canada’s largest all mopar car show happens in New Hamburg August 17 & 18, 2019 at the New Hamburg Fairgrounds. The 40th annual MoparFest features more than 1500 cars, DIY workshops, a Non-Automotive Flea Market and more! Check out their website for details.
