The Kitchener Rangers have signed their fourth round draft pick from 2019.
Winger Mitchell Martin, who hails from Sudbury, was taken 81st overall by the East Avenue Blue.
In 47 games with the Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) this season, the 17-year-old leads the team with 54 points (21 goals).
"We are excited to welcome Mitchell to the Rangers family. He has had a very good year and has shown he is ready to make the jump to the OHL next season," Rangers General Manager and Interim Head Coach, Mike McKenzie, said in a release.
"He is a big, strong, and tough player that also has very good skills and offensive ability. He will fit well with our already strong group of young players."
Martin is listed at 6 '3" and 185 pounds.
