The Kitchener Rangers have acquired a forward who averaged a point per game this past season.
Jack Wismer was picked up in a trade with the Flint Firebirds on Thursday.
The Stoney Creek native had 27 goals and 27 assists in 54 games during the shortened 2019-20 campaign.
Flint will receive Kitchener's 15th round draft pick in 2021 (conditional), in exchange for Wismer.
"He has shown the ability to score and produce at the OHL level." said Mike McKenzie, General Manager and Head Coach of the Rangers.
"He plays a hard-nosed game and isn’t shy about going to the hard areas of the ice to score goals and create chances."
The OHL is hoping to get a 40-game regular season underway on February 4.
