Like every organization during the pandemic, the Kitchener Rangers had to get creative.

Normally they would collect food donations for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region at their Thanksgiving Day game, but that couldn't happen this year because the season hasn't started yet.

So this past Saturday, the team hosted a food drive at Zehrs Laurentian, where fans were asked to fill the team's bus with donations.

The Rangers say they were able to collect over 6,600 meals.
