Even though more businesses have reopened and some restrictions have relaxed, emergency orders are still in effect.

On Friday, Region of Waterloo CAO Mike Muray confirmed one more fine has been issued locally for not following the rules.

It happened at a residence in Waterloo as there was a private gathering of more than 10 people.

Police, bylaw, and public health inspectors were called to 300 complaints over the last week.

Eighty-six of those involved some form of education or warning issued, while 214 site visits required no action.

Since April, two dozen fines have been issued locally for failing to comply with provincial emergency orders.
