Sunday, October 4 was supposed to be the opening day of the Uptown Fall Open-Air Market, but due to unknown reasons, the market has been cancelled.

Just the day prior, the Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area (BIA) sent out a release late afternoon, explaining that "due to unforeseen reasons, tomorrow's Uptown Fall market has been cancelled."

The market has been rescheduled for next Sunday, October 11.

The Fall Open-Air Market was to be the continuation of the Uptown BIA's summer market held on Willis way. For the fall market, vendors will be set up in the parking lot behind Waterloo City Hall.

The BIA is following recommendations from Public Health to ensure a safe shopping experience, with proper safety signage and precautions.
