Another two weeks have been added to the production shutdown at Toyota's manufacturing plants across North America.
In a statement, a spokesperson says it's due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as what they say is a decline in vehicle demand.
They plan to resume production on Monday, April 20.
Toyota says their service parts operations and finished vehicle logistics centres will stay open to meet the needs of customers, will continue to monitor the situation as it develops, and take action where necessary.
On Wednesday, the automaker told 570 NEWS, a second worker at the Cambridge plant had tested positive for COVID-19.
