Waterloo Region's active COVID-19 caseload continues to climb.
There are a record high 554 active cases, with 27 people receiving treatment in hospital, eight of which are in intensive care.
73 new cases were added to the region's COVID-19 summary dashboard on Monday afternoon.
Here are some other updates from the region's dashboard on Monday:
- 3,586 total cases since March
- 2,906 resolved cases (81 per cent)
- There have been 125 deaths in the region linked to the virus. The latest was confirmed November 27
- Over 206,000 tests have been done (numbers will be updated again on Tuesday)
There are currently 22 active outbreaks in the region:
- NEW Sunnyside long-term care - Laurel Creek Unit (one case in staff)
- Chartwell Westmount long-term care - Williamsburg Unit (two cases in staff)
- Village Manor in St. Jacob's (30 cases, one death)
- Congregate setting 9 (one case)
- Trade and related services 4 (three cases)
- Industrial equipment sales/service 1 (nine cases)
- Automobile sales/service 1 (three cases)
- Food processing workplace 4 (ten cases)
- Construction workplace 4 (two cases)
- Manufacturing/industrial workplace 7 (three cases)
- Manufacturing/industrial workplace 6 (two cases)
- Food and beverage services 6 (two cases)
- Sports and fitness - dance class related (two cases)
- Sports and fitness - hockey related (nine cases)
- Sports and fitness - racquet sports related (24 cases)
- NEW William G Davis Public School (two cases)
- St. Bernadette Catholic School (two cases)
- Centennial Public School (three cases)
- Blessed Sacrament Catholic School (two cases)
- NEW BrightPath Childcare Centre (two cases)
- Grand River Hospital - Medicine Unit 5S

Meantime, the province reported 1,746 new cases on Monday morning.
