Regional Chair Karen Redman has announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a video message on Twitter, Redman said she has been self-isolating since Christmas Eve.
"That is when I found out that I had a possible exposure to COVID-19 through a family member. I went and was tested, and that test was negative."
She said over the past few days, she started to develop symptoms, prompting her to get another test.
This time, the results were positive.
Redman said her symptoms are mild and she is working remotely from home.
