More fines have been handed out to those not following the safety measures put in place by the province to help control the spread of COVID-19.
Regional Chair Karen Redman provided an update during Friday morning's weekly COVID media briefing.
Police issued four tickets in relation to a recent gathering in Uptown Waterloo. Two are summons to appear in court under the Reopening Ontario Act, with fines to be determined by the court.
Another summons was issued under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, and police issued an $880 fine under the Reopening Ontario Act.
Meantime, seven $880 fines were handed out for private gatherings --- Three by Kitchener bylaw, three by Waterloo bylaw, and one by police in Wilmot Township.
Regional bylaw issued a ticket at an unnamed business for failing to adhere to the face-covering bylaw. The fine was $240.
