Another local company is joining the fight against COVID-19.

Kitchener-based Shaver Industries Inc. is shifting their focus to make face shields for front-line workers.

In the past, the custom manufacturer has primarily focused on safety products for the automotive, aerospace and food industries.

They are hoping, by re-tooling their production lines, they can manufacture 25,000 shields per week.

The company adds, they will have employees assemble different parts of the product in the safety of their homes.
